Known Issues and Solutions
What is this page about?
The Known Issues & Solutions page is meant to help provide information regarding high-priority issues, such as those impacting a fair number of players, or that are most disruptive to gameplay.
How do I report a bug?
If you encounter a bug in Stormgate, please let us know. Your reports help us improve the game for everyone. Right now the best methods to do that are:
- Steam:
- Head over to the Bugs and Technical Issues Discussion Forum or the Localization Bugs discussion forum if your bug is for localization, text, or Voice Over
- Search to see if anyone else has run into the issue that you are seeing
- If no post exists, create a new bug using the template pinned to the top of the forum section
- Discord:
- Head over to the Stormgate Feedback section on the Stormgate Official Discord
- Search the #bug-reports channel to see if your bug has been submitted
- If no post exists, create a new bug report by hitting the “New Post” button at the top of the #bug-reports channel

Issues have been marked with a status that best represents their current state:

Audio

Several SFX are not hooked up to sound volume settings, or are otherwise too quiet/loud. Workaround: Play with your Sound Effects volume setting at 100% to reduce volume discrepancies. |
Hoplites Stop Music From Playing | Fixed in 0.3 | Moving groups of Hoplites can stop music and other audio from playing. |
Ability Sounds | Tracking | Several units abilities/morphing sounds gets louder when multiple are selected. |
Campaign

Matchmaking

Issue with Changing Graphics Setting Mid Match | Tracking | Lower spec machines may have performance issues when changing graphics settings mid-match. Workaround: Restart your game after changing graphics settings. |
Performance Issue when Deploying Large Groups of Units | Tracking | Morphing/Deploying large groups of units may cause minor temporary performance issues. |
Performance Issue when Using Warz Devour Souls | Tracking | Warz Devour Souls causes minor temporary performance issues when used around many units. |
European Keyboard Layout Crashes When Rebinding Keys | Fixed in 0.3 | When rebinding keys using a European keyboard layout it will sometimes cause a game crash. |
Crash When Skipping Around Replays | Tracking | Skipping around in replays may cause a crash. |
Crash when Screen Percentage under 100% | Tracking | Low-spec machines will almost always crash when setting the Screen Percentage less than 100%. Extremely low spec machines may crash at boot. |
Pricing and Purchases

The In-Game Store prices will display in USD (i.e. $9.99) instead of your local currency. When you go to purchase the item, the Steam popup for payment will display in your local currency, looking different then what you saw in the store. Regions impacted:

In Game Price Listed Does Not Match Steam Price | Tracking |
The In Game store prices for various locations are currently a direct translation and not accurate for localized pricing. While the DLC on the Steam store page reflect regionalized prices, the price of individual items within those DLC packs in the in-game store is a direct USD<>Local Currency translation. This means that the sum of individual items on the store is going to be much higher than the bundled Early Access Pack DLC on the Steam store. We currently do not have a fix for this at Early Access until we implement the Steam microtransaction system at a later date post Early Access launch. Players will be incentivized to purchase the Early Access DLC bundles instead of buying items individually in the in-game store. Regions impacted:

Weekly Mutator Challenge Does Not Display a Title | Tracking | On the main title screen, the first mutator listed under Weekly Mutator Challenge does not always display a title when you hover over it with your mouse. |

Hotkey Modifiers | Tracking | Commands tied to keybinds with modifiers (alt, shift) do not suppress commands tied to the same key without modifiers |
Hotkeys Get Stuck in Bad State | Tracking |
Sometimes hotkeys may get stuck in a non-functioning state after performing specific setting actions (ex: setting hotkeys with modifier keys.) Reset Hotkeys does not currently fix this. 2. Accept Changes, Exit Game, Close the game entirely. |
