I received a PlatformUnavailable error
PlatformUnavailable errors can have many causes, here are a few of the most common.

Steam is undergoing maintenance
- You can check if Steam is experiencing downtime here: Steam Down Detector
- In this case, please wait until Steam’s maintenance concludes

Stormgate is down or undergoing maintenance
- While usually you will see a NoPermission error if Stormgate is undergoing maintenance, periodically you might instead see PlatformUnavailable
- This is simply because we are doing work to resolve an issue or service, and we should be back up shortly
- For updates on maintenance or unexpected issues please check the official Stormgate social channels

Client / Server mismatch
- PlatformUnavailable errors often happen following a new client patch, and you will see the error if you attempt to log in using a version of Stormgate that is no longer compatible with our servers.
- To correct this, you can either wait a few minutes for your Stormgate to begin its latest update, or you can manually verify the integrity of your game files to get it to update right away
