The game keeps crashing or freezing
Crashing
- If your game has crashed and you see the Unreal Crash Reporting pop up, please leave a comment describing what preceded the crash, and send the report. We use these crash reports to improve the game, so they are very helpful!
- If your game is crashing multiple times, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- Fully exit and restart both Stormgate and Steam
- Confirm that your video card drivers are up to date
- Check that your Windows version is up to date
- Reboot your machine
- Verify integrity of game files within Steam
- Uninstall and reinstall Stormgate
- Verify your hardware meets our minimum required specifications
- Try using the default "Recommended" launch option when launching the game in Steam.
Freezing
If your game freezes or locks up, please wait at least 2 minutes before taking action.
- If the game resumes normally, please submit a bug report and describe what preceded the freeze.
- If the game crashes and provides a crash reporter, please submit the crash reporter and follow the steps above.
- If the game remains frozen, force close the application. If it is freezing repeatedly, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Fully exit and restart both Stormgate and Steam
- Confirm that your video card drivers are up to date
- Check that your Windows version is up to date
- Reboot your machine
- Verify integrity of game files within Steam
- Uninstall and reinstall Stormgate
- Verify your hardware meets our minimum required specifications
